Manudigital
A bassist and beatmaker who makes digital reggae visible while he builds it. Manudigital joins 1980s computer-riddim logic to live bass, modern bass music and collaborations across the reggae world.
Manudigital began as a bassist in French bands before moving toward production and a solo practice built around digital reggae. His approach is deliberately performative: samplers, keyboards, drum machines and bass are assembled in front of the audience instead of hidden behind a finished backing track. The online “Digital Session” series helped make that process legible by pairing veteran and contemporary singers with compact riddims built on the spot. Albums including “Digital Pixel” and “Bass Attack” widened the palette toward jungle, drum and bass and electronic bass music while keeping Jamaican digital-dancehall history audible underneath.
